Crewe ASi Sponsor Joel Grant

Crewe ASi are delighted to announce that we will be sponsoring the kit of Joel Grant next season. Grant arrived from League 2 Aldershot for £130,000 in the summer and the Alex faithful are hoping for big things from the Jamaican U23 international.

Born in Hammersmith on the 28th of August 1987, Joel began his career at Vicarage Road with Watford where he made 7 appearances for the first team. His debut was in a League Cup match against Notts County on 23rd of August 2005. On 31st of August 2006 he joined Aldershot Town on a four month loan, during his first spell with the Shots, he made 17 league and cup appearances, scoring 3 goals. In July 2007 he was released by Watford after they were relegated from The Premiership. He then moved back to The Recreation ground with Aldershot on a non-contract basis in September 2007 before signing a deal until the end of the season in December.

Grant made 30 appearances for The Shots last campaign notching four goals. His fine form throughout their promotion season alerted numerous football league clubs and The Railwaymen swooped for the former Watford man in a £130,000 deal, the highest transfer fee ever received by Aldershot Town. Since signing for Steve Holland's men Grant has expressed a desire to do well for the club and try and add more goals to his game.
